I have created these in service to all those who wish to let go of the tendencies and habits that hold us back, and instead, choose to embrace the wonder of who we truly are, and birth our gifts into the world.

Living Well as a Parent with a Chronic Illness
Finding balance in parenting is tricky enough on its own -- add in the challenges of chronic pain or illness and it can seem downright impossible at times! Join this interactive discussion to help each other find fresh ideas for making things easier on ourselves, so we can truly enjoy our lives.

As a parent, we're often so busy taking care of everyone else that it is easy to let our own creative identity get pushed aside and forgotten. There's no way around it, parenting just ain't easy! We may find ourselves trying to cope day to day with anger, depression, resentment, you name it. How is a parent to maintain sanity amidst all this? As a mother of two I can really identify with the nitty-gritty reality of parenting. My approach to emotional wellness focuses on releasing locked-down frustrations, allowing them to ignite changes that bring more satisfaction and relaxation into our lives, and digging deeper into the ways we subconsciously limit our options for happiness as parents. My intention is to give each parent take-home tools for integrating emotional wellness into everyday life.
Moving Beyond a Difficult Birth:
When anxiety flares, we may feel trapped, or we may feel like running away from it as quickly as possible! It is easy to let this energy of fear stop our creative movement in the world, or on the other hand, speed us up as we try to avoid it. While all this is going on, where are we in the picture of our lives? In this workshop, we will practice dynamic body-mind tools for coping with fear & anxiety, as well as digging deeper to understand and work with what’s underneath. Movement and discussion will help bring a positive, empowering energy to our exploration. Once we have the tools and the courage to make a change in how we cope with anxiety, we can begin to feel more comfortable and excited about expressing who we are!
When we struggle day-to-day with the physical demands of chronic illness, it is understandable that we often feel angry, depressed, helpless, or otherwise frustrated about our condition. Yet it is easy to get bogged down in these emotional routines, so that our lives become expressions of our frustration rather than of our unique interests and gifts, and the happiness we long for. In this workshop, we will explore the feelings related to our illness, tools for healthy emotional release, cultivating a conscious relationship with our physical form, and new intuitions and understanding about ourselves. As we bring this learning into our daily lives, we begin to feel more comfortable in the body we have, and our lives can emerge as radiant expressions of who we truly are. |
